The Blackwing 56 pays tribute to the Yankee Clipper, Mr. Joe DiMaggio, during the 75th anniversary of his famous streak. The blue pinstripe barrel is a nod to the uniform he wore with the utmost class and dignity, while the gold imprint and ferrule draw inspiration from the Commissioner’s Trophy his Yankee squad hoisted at the end of that magical 1941 season. The Yankee’s are not my favorite team, however, I do LOVE their handsome uniforms!
